I'm So Depressed
Movies: 08.06.05, 23:51:04 by mib

Movies The movie version of this classic 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' is boring. Why does the movie industry consider their viewing public are morons? Some say they dumb it down for the American market, but I don't understand why, as Americans I've known are not stupid, therefore not requiring the movies to be made dumb for them.

This movie has suffer the fate of many Science Fiction movies, special effects have priority over all else. Many funny parts of the script are left without their punch lines. Effects sequences go on and on and on… By the shortening of the long effect sequences the intelligent dialogue could have been retained.

The movie was not unwatchable but was nowhere near as good as it could have been. It was definitely the worst version of the Hitchhiker's Guide yet.
